Today Roisin Murphy's newest single, "Orally Fixated" hit the internet and it is incredible. Even more incredible is the profoundly sexy photograph taken by Mark Squires that is advertising it (most likely the album cover).

I am usually opposed to sepia but this I think works quite perfectly. She really looks stunning.
From there I went on to explore Mark Squires's recently launched Photo Diary, a blog of sorts.
Of his many shoots, I have to say that his photos for A.L.C. by Andrea Lieberman are unbelievable. The eyes of that model are bewitching.
Mark Squires also managing to rekindle a long-time obsession with ballet (I bought a tutu as a result). I have somewhere in my rather large fashion-related archives from a brief flirtation with design school a binder filled with various iterations of the idea of ballet-for-fashion. There is something about ballet in particular, that fascinates me: the line of the form, the near abusive obsession with technique and body, the demand to be lighter than air as it conflicts with the very human reality that the body is weighted. This shoot for the American Ballet Theater is deliciously gritty.
